I don’t get why folks are hating on this track? She sounds incredible on it, don’t ever get it twisted, Miss Aguilera is one of the best singers of our generation. She’s been working it out for over 10 years and of course, new artists have come through – but that’s ok? I never understood when people act like there isn’t enough room for everyone? It’s ok to like GaGa AND Rihanna AND Christina AND Beyonce – you don’t have to choose.

Rap-Up TV goes behind the scenes of Kelly Rowland’s “Commander” video where she discusses the concept behind the video and some of the looks she’s going for. Rowland’s new single, produced by Satan himself David Guetta is currently generating a lot of buzz online with pretty much everyone reacting positively to it.
…I’m definitely happy that Kelly is getting the kudos she needs and while I was definitely one of the sceptic’s impressed with the new single, I still can’t get behind this euro-pop/dance sound she’s going for. I like the single, but would I ever buy it? Nope. Would I buy an album like it? Nope. Kelly sounds great on “Commander”, no doubt, but there’s absolutely no denying she sounds a billion times better on an R&B track. I pray someone does an R&B/Hip Hop remix of this track – now that would be fire.
Peace, Love & Kelly Rowland

A bunch of tracks have leaked from Leona’s camp over the past few weeks, so not sure if this is brand new or just previously unreleased, either way it’s new to me…
Download: Leona Lewis – “Danger Made Me”
I don’t really care for this song much, the only reason I’m posting it is because for the first time, in a very long time, this song actually shows some personality. Not the most vocally challenging song Lewis’ has ever sung, but that’s cool. It’s a pop track – I think she needs to focus on this type of sound more – those ballads need to stop, really.
Peace, Love & Leona Lewis
P.s No stream – those who dig Leona will download.

No idea where this came from, far as I knew Bey was taking some time off – I’m not mad one bit though lol. “Why Don’t You Love Me”, written by Beyonce, her sister Solange and cousin Angie is a bonus track off I AM…Sasha Fierce – the clip above is a sneak peak into what the full video will look like and in it Bey takes on another alter ego , this time – B.B Homemaker…

Once again it comes back to good PR. Someone tell me, how the feck is it a good look for Chris Brown to sing the national anthem at a BOXING match? SMH.

I reluctantly posted the radio rip of this track when it dropped a few days back, so I thought I’d re-up with the CD…
Download: Janet Jackson – “Nothing”
“Nothing” is the official theme song for Janet’s new movie ‘Why Did I Get Married Too?’, directed by Tyler James and co-staring Jill Scott. As for the track itself, it reminds me a lot of “Any Time, Any Place” or something else off the Janet album, it’s nothing mind blowing but at the same time, there is something I like about it – I love Janet’s voice on tracks like this.
Oh, and in other Janet news, the pop icon says that she is ‘not working on a new album’ as she is currently focusing on ‘other priorities’. Ain’t that some sh*t.
Peace, Love & Janet Jackson
P.s SoundCloud stream coming soon.
Filed under: Music, Must Watch, Things We're Diggin' | Tags: Beyonce, Interview, Pop, R&B, Sasha Fierce, Sasha Fierce Is Done
Check out this short (and not so sweet) interview Beyonce did with ‘Extra’ where she spoke about taking time ‘off’, which will consist of her doing a bunch of things she’s promised herself to do and of course…Recording. She avoids questions about Jay (don’t get why folks ask them questions any more), she actually gets a little agitated (visibly so) and also confirms that she has “killed” Sasha Fierce, saying “Sasha Fierce is done”.
