I don’t get why folks are hating on this track? She sounds incredible on it, don’t ever get it twisted, Miss Aguilera is one of the best singers of our generation. She’s been working it out for over 10 years and of course, new artists have come through – but that’s ok? I never understood when people act like there isn’t enough room for everyone? It’s ok to like GaGa AND Rihanna AND Christina AND Beyonce – you don’t have to choose.
Peace, Love & Christina Aguilera

I jump at any chance to post something about Prince, so while there’s nothing too exciting to inform you about here, I just found a couple cool snaps of his Purple Highness performing at the Time 100 gala. Prince was introduced on stage by Sir Elton John before honouring some of this years most influential people. As you can see, the guy doesn’t seem to be ageing – he still looks like the coolest dude. That guitar is insane. Hit the jump to peep one more picture.

Saw Brother Ali last night at Cargo (shouts to Abjekt), shockingly for the first time. Each and everytime he hit LDN Town previously something prevented me from attending his gigs, but last night, after the Erykah Badu playback and “Shank” movie premiere, I rushed down to East London to check him out.
Brother Ali is a ill emcee, we know this. Just play one of his albums and you instantly understand that what you’re listening to is real Hip Hop. No fads, no gimmicks, just straight rhyming. But what I wasn’t prepared for (in all honestly) was the great show he put on. Ali entertained the entire crowd from the second he stepped on the stage to the moment he got off, I was most definitely impressed with his stage presence. The guy flowed through his tunes like they were nothing, each time sending the audience into a different state of frenzy. Oh, and his freestyle? Good Lord. His freestyle at the end was ridiculous – actually the highlight of the show for me.
If you get the chance to check Brother Ali live, I definitely recommend you do so. This is real Hip Hop.
Peace, Love & Brother Ali

…And by live, I of course mean, mimed.
J-Lo performed her new single “What Is Love”, as well as a medley of her biggest hits ‘live’ at the 60th Sanremo Song Festival in Italy. I really can’t stand that new track, so you find her performance of that after the jump. However, she went ol’ skool with her medley performing hits like “Jenny From The Block”, “Waiting For Tonight”, “Love Don’t Cost A Thing” and more – catch that in the video above.

Alicia Keys performs my favourite track off The Element of Freedom on BET’s 106 & Park.
…Hands down, one of the best tracks Alicia has put out in a hot minute. This reminds me so much of something that could have been on her debut album. She’s singing that ish from the heart. The lyrics are raw.
Watch her interview after the jump…

KiD CuDi brought out Drake during his gig to perform “Forever”.
…That track don’t get old in my opinion. Huge.
