Lady GaGa, Kelis, Rihanna etc etc – sit down.

Icon Grace Jones performed in London last night at the legendary Royal Albert Hall, the video (after the jump) is just incredible – her presence, her voice, her costume – everything about it/her is just incredible. This woman is 61 years old, it’s beyond belief. Jones recently spoke out against Lady GaGa in an interview she did with the Guardian – you should read it – it’s a brilliant article.

If you haven’t already heard Grace’s most recent album Hurricane (released back in 08), you really should. She’s on some next Bjork tip – sounds fresh. A little out there, but fresh nonetheless.

After the jump, check out some images from last nights show – again, amazing!

Peace, Love & Grace Jones

Went to the concert and was right in front of the stage . Dead centre standing . I was amazed . What a fabulous concert . I’ve seen Grace Jones performed 25 years ago at Paradise Garage and she hasn’t changed . Gorgeous as ever. Stunning performance , mind blowing costumes . The concert left me speechless . Wish I could see it again and again . They don’t make artist like that anymore . Sorry Lady Gaga , Whitney , Madonna and other a like . You are not even close . Grace you are a true DIVA . Love you .

I completely agree. I was standing in front of the stage (Row 5-7 ish) as well. Her voice was amazing. The costumes were out of this world. Simply one of the best concert experiences I’ve ever had!
They really should have filmed and released this concert on DVD/Blu-Ray.
Thank you Grace.
